Tshirt necklace…or scarf…no, necklace!

So I made this out of a recycled tshirt.  Well, two tshirts.  I cut the tshirts into thin strips, stretched them, looped them, then tied the loops together.  Sounds easy, right?   I wore this to school today and I got lots and lots of compliments on it…only half were for my “necklace” and half were for my “scarf”.  They didn’t know what to call it either!

From My Blessed Life click here for more ideas and tutorials.  I want to give credit where credit is due..if there is blog etiquette I need to know and someone out there wants to fill me in…feel free.  Otherwise, a simple mention and a link to the site is what I am going with.  Thanks!

Fun Rosette Necklace

This necklace, also made from recycled tshirts  and a strip of fabric from the sheet I used to back  a quilt (I will show that one later).  The rosettes are different sizes and I used my handy, dandy hot glue gun to attach them together in a slight “u” form and then to the simple ball chain.  I would have liked to have used a nicer chain, but without traveling to the store – this was on hand.  I absolutely love these rosettes and I am simply addicted to making them.  They are simple and fun and can be hot glued onto just about anything.  If you plan on washing them, though, you will want to skip the hot glue and use needle and thread.
